RUBBED, SMOKED & SAUCED

Mike Terry

Mike began his current BBQ adventure in 2004 after running across the only BBQ competition in the state of Michigan at the time. From there it has been full speed ahead. Late in 2006, Mike formed Rubbed, Smoked, and Sauced BBQ Team (RSS). Mike also spearheaded the formation of The Great Lakes BBQ Association (GLBBQA) in which he served as President for 7 years.

Scott Fischer

Scott started outdoor cooking serving up hot dogs and hamburgers on a little hibachi grill at his home during his teen years. That love for grilling evolved over the years is what eventually led to building a passion for “low and slow” cooking.

Bruce Bissonnette

Bruce took up BBQ as a hobby the year he retired, and after doing some research he purchased a Weber Smoky Mountain cooker. He discovered a wealth of knowledge and wisdom on the subject of “real” BBQ. Bruce joined RSS BBQ in 2009.

Founded in 2007, the GREAT LAKES BARBECUE ASSOCIATION was formed to promote Barbecue, grilling and all forms of outdoor cooking, not only here in our home state of Michigan, but throughout the entire Great Lakes region. It is our goal to sponsor cooking seminars and other events where our members, their families, business partners and the public can get together to exchange ideas and information, share tips and recipes, or that secret ingredient.

We are a non-profit organization (501c7) whose members want to utilize their love of barbecue and outdoor cooking to benefit selected charities and other worthwhile causes.

The Great Lakes Barbeque Association is a non profit organization that is dedicated to promoting the art and technique of Outdoor Cooking.
